The Visionary

I am a STEM educator with nearly 20 years of progressive leadership experience in elementary science and STEM education. I previously served as Science Content Specialist for the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, where I managed the Elementary OpenSciEd grant program across multiple districts and led the Science, Technology, and Engineering evaluation component of CURATE (Curriculum Ratings by Teachers). In this role, I partnered with federal agencies including the U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon Schools Program and served on the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) committee for the National Science Foundation for the state of Massachusetts.

My background includes roles as Educational Technology Specialist, Special Projects Coordinator and Education Specialist developing eLearning curricula. I was selected as a Noyce Fellow at Rice University for The Texas Leadership Initiative for Inquiry Science Teaching (TLIIST), a prestigious National Science Foundation-funded program, and participated in the ExxonMobil Teachers Academy. I hold certifications in Arkansas and Texas in elementary education and building-level administration. I enjoy exploring innovative approaches to digital media integration in elementary science and STEM instruction.
